Short answer

This is the strongest model-specific case in the current guide. An owner report established that Omarchy could be installed, but the screen stalled and the touchpad discarded motion. Omarchy 4.0.2 now detects this exact model and applies separate workarounds for both problems. That is meaningful progress, not proof that every feature works.

What we know

Installation

The retained owner report completed an Omarchy 3.6 installation by forcing repeated screen redraws. Omarchy 4.0.2 contains the resulting exact-model display workaround, but we do not yet have a clean-install report using the 4.0.2 ISO.

What to do: Start with the 4.0.2 ISO and verify its checksum. Do not add the old kernel argument manually unless the automatic model detection fails.

Internal display

On the original installation, Panel Replay left the internal screen on one frame until a virtual-terminal switch forced a redraw. The 4.0.2 hardware setup adds `xe.enable_panel_replay=0` only when it detects the ExpertBook B9406.

What to do: If the panel still freezes on 4.0.2, capture the DMI product name and kernel command line before changing anything.

Touchpad

The report showed valid kernel input events, while libinput discarded pointer motion. Omarchy 4.0.2 installs a model- and device-specific quirk that removes pressure axes from this touchpad.

What to do: A working pointer after installation should come from the automatic quirk. Keep a USB or Bluetooth mouse available for the installer.

Should you use or buy it?

If you already own this model, use the Omarchy 4.0.2 installer rather than recreating the original workarounds by hand. If you are shopping, treat it as a viable but still early Panther Lake option; suspend, cameras, microphones, fingerprint login, external displays and battery life have not been established by the retained report.

What remains unverified

  • One owner report supplied the exact configuration and narrow fixes.
  • The retained evidence does not include a complete capability test on Omarchy 4.0.2.
  • The official scripts establish automatic handling for two devices, not whole-machine certification.
