Framework Laptop 13 Ryzen AI 300 with Omarchy
A detailed Omarchy 4.0.0 report establishes a working Framework Laptop 13 session, with a repeatable long-suspend failure on one Thunderbolt dock setup.
Short answer
The reported Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 configuration ran Omarchy 4.0.0 and resumed from short suspends. After a long suspend in clamshell mode, its external display stayed dark until the lid was opened or the computer was restarted. We have not verified whether Omarchy 4.0.2 changes that behavior.

What we know
Normal operation
The report describes a responsive Omarchy 4.0.0 session on the internal display and on the docked display before the long-suspend failure.
What to do: Treat this as a narrow running-system report, not a complete review of ports, battery life or biometric hardware.
Short suspend
Short suspends returned successfully in the reported configuration.
What to do: Do not assume the result transfers to another dock, monitor, BIOS or kernel.
Long suspend in clamshell mode
After a long suspend, the computer and compositor resumed but the docked display remained in standby. Opening the lid forced the external connector to be detected again.
What to do: If you depend on clamshell mode, test a long suspend with your exact dock before relying on it.
Should you use or buy it?
This report does not justify avoiding the Framework Laptop 13 for normal portable use. It does justify caution if your daily setup depends on closed-lid operation, long suspend and a Thunderbolt 3 dock. Test your exact dock and monitor before treating the machine as a desktop replacement.
What remains unverified
- The known failure involves one monitor and one Thunderbolt 3 dock.
- The report used Omarchy 4.0.0; behavior on 4.0.2 is not established.
- A separate installer report does not clearly distinguish the Framework Laptop 13 from the Laptop 16, so it is not used on this page.
